Stage 10 – Roccamorice – Serramonacesca

From Roccamorice there is an initial uphill stretch on asphalt and then downhill, in the bottom of the Angelo valley, on the path to the Sant’Angelo Cave, from where we ascend and past the Fonte Pirella spring we enter the Maiella pastures, dotted with numerous dry-stone huts. We begin the descent of the mountain slope and enter the forest, where shortly afterwards we encounter the rock hermitage of St. Onofrio. From here you descend to the village of Serramonacesca.
