Adjacent to the Villa Scorciosa cemetery, the small church is said to have been founded in the 11th century. Mentioned in numerous transfers of clerical property and ownership, as well as in some medieval statutes, it has long been in a state of neglect and decay. In 2009 it was restored and reopened to the public. The main facade is Romanesque, with a sestoacuto portal (off-center from the axis of the building) that has traces of fresco in the lunette and porthole window above. At the right corner of the facade stands the bell gable tower.
