From Villa Sant’Angelo, the stage crosses the Aterno valley to San Demetrio ne’ Vestini and, after an uphill stretch, joins the Tratturo Magno until it reaches the archaeological area of Peltuinum, an ancient Italic-Roman city. From here, descend to the medieval church of San Paolo di Peltuinum and continue in the direction of the village of Prata d’Ansidonia, the stage’s conclusion.

From Piazza Monumento in Villa Sant’Angelo, head downhill until you pass right by the ancient church of San Michele, reaching the paved road below. Follow it to the left and then to the right onto the second bike path, crossing the river via a wooden pedestrian bridge, here, turn left and follow the Aterno River until you return to the paved road toward San Demetrio. Turn immediately right and, after passing under the railroad tracks through an underpass, continue along a dirt road leading to San Demetrio né Vestini. From the edge of the village, head uphill until you reach the church of the Madonna dei Raccomandati; go around the building and then continue on Via F. Arista. Once you reach the small settlement of Santa Croce, continue uphill on a dirt road until you reach the Tratturo Magno, where you turn right. You’ll pass alongside a large fenced-in nursery; after passing it and crossing the paved road, climb the slope to reach the archaeological site of Peltuinum. After crossing a section of the plateau, to see the remains of the temple and theater of Peltuinum, and walk along the outer right side of the metal fence, you’ll reach the edge of the plateau; from here, follow a trail that descends to the medieval church of San Paolo di Peltuinum. At the end of the descent along the dirt road that runs alongside San Paolo, you’ll reach an intersection where you turn left; then, at the next four-way intersection with a small country chapel, turn immediately right, Continue along the paved road, and at the next intersection—near a watering trough with a drinking fountain—turn left until you reach the church of San Nicola in the center of Prata d’Ansidonia, where the second stage ends.
