The Church of Santa Maria Assunta located in Largo Assunta at the highest point in Lentella, dates back to a time before the 14th century. It underwent major transformations in the 18th and 19th centuries. Originally subject to the monastery of Sant’Angelo in Cornacchiano, it still retains carved stone elements, including a tombstone possibly from 1502. The one-nave Baroque interior houses statues of the town’s patron saints and a model of the village.
