Stage 03 (Bike) – San Clemente a Casauria – Roccamorice

From San Clemente, you pass through the town of Torre de’ Passeri and begin the climb toward Santa Maria del Monte di Bolognano (entrance to the Maiella National Park); from there, you reach the picturesque village of Muséllaro, then continue along the road to the town of Salle. On the climb, you’ll pass the medieval church of San Tommaso Becket; from there, you’ll reach Caramanico Terme. After a visit, head back the way you came; after the bridge, turn right and climb toward Decontra, skirting it as you go, then continue across the Valle Giumentina plateau. cross it, and reach the edge of the valley, where on the other side lies the hermitage of San Bartolomeo in Legio, accessible on foot; after turning back, descend into the valley until you reach Roccamorice.
