Stage 29 – San Giovanni Rotondo – Monte Sant’Angelo

From San Giovanni Rotondo, one travels eastward along a flat stretch, then tackles the long ascent, first in dense forest and then out in the open, in a grazing and bushy environment, to climb back to the top of the Gargano and arrive in the wonderful village of Monte Sant’Angelo, where the cave of the apparition of the archangel Michael, a UNESCO-protected site, marks the conclusion of the Cammino della Pace.
